Toilet and Shower Trailer Operative/Driver
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Toilet and Shower Trailer Operative/Driver to join Border Group Ltd at Longtown, Carlisle, on a fixed term basis over the busy summer events season.
Job Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for working in a team to prepare our Shower and Toilet units and any of our other products to ensure the highest possible standards are maintained for our customers. Working at the depot, you will also be responsible for delivering and collecting the Shower and Toilet units to our clients across the UK to ensure their safe delivery to and from the depot.
As part of this role, you will also be responsible for fixing issues with the trailer units on site, as well as repairs and maintenance to the units. Other duties will include assisting in our busy depot yard with tasks such as cleaning our products, moving and storing equipment, general maintenance and housekeeping, and inspecting equipment.
Job Criteria
The ideal Toilet and Shower Trailer Operative/Driver will have the following skills and experiences:
- Hold a full driver CPC licence and full UK driving licence (essential);
- Experience towing trailers (essential);
- Experience in a similar role or industry;
- Basic mechanical knowledge;
- Happy to travel to our customers sites across the UK;
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to be pro-active;
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines;
- Able to work in a team to maximise the success of the business;

Contract Type – Fixed Term (April/May 2025 to 30th September 2025) with the potential to become permanent depending on performance and business needs.
Working Hours – 42.5 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday from 7.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. with overtime available. Occasional weekend availability will also be required.
